VICTORIA FALLS & THE OKAVANGO DELTA
3 nights visiting Victoria Falls followed by 6 nights of amazing wildlife in the beautiful Okavango Delta.
This itinerary combines two wonderful highlights of Africa. Located on the Zimbabwe/Zambia border, the majestic Victoria Falls are an iconic attraction and many safaris through Botswana start (or end) with a few days here. In Botswana, the Okavango Delta is one of Africa’s most amazing natural destinations. During the safari, the focus at Okuti in the Moremi Game Reserve is the incredible big game sightings and relaxing boat cruises on the permanent waters of the delta. Moving to the Kanana Concession, the game viewing is still excellent, but a wider variety of experiences are possible, including mokoro excursions, night drives, walking and a sleep out deck. The two safari properties featured both offer very comfortable accommodation, excellent hospitality and good value within Botswana.

ITINERARY DETAILS
Day 1-3: Batonka Guest Lodge – 3 nights
On arrival into Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, it is an easy transfer to Batonka Guest Lodge, located in the suburbs of Victoria Falls town, just a few minutes from the falls. Your time here can be spent relaxing, exploring and viewing the spectacular falls, both on foot and by helicopter! Beyond the falls themselves you can enjoy a wide range of other activities including boat cruises on the Zambezi River and game drives in Zambezi National Park. Please note all activities attract extra costs. Batonka Guest Lodge is very comfortable with a relaxed, exclusive feel. Being just a few minutes’ drive from the town centre and falls, it is a great base from which to explore.
Day 4-6: Okuti Camp – 3 nights
This morning you will be transferred by road across the border into Botswana, where you connect with a shared light aircraft transfer from Kasane Airport south-west over the vast Chobe National Park to the Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta. On landing into Moremi you will transfer to Okuti Camp, overlooking the permanent waters of the delta. Your time in Moremi will focus heavily on game drives to see Africa’s big game, especially as Moremi is a stronghold for lion, leopard and wild dogs. In between drives it is possible to explore the waterways of the Okavango by boat, enjoying the birdlife and hippos, perhaps some elephants swimming, and of course the magical sunsets. Okuti is a small lodge offering lovely accommodation, and has a really friendly, intimate atmosphere.
Day 7-9: Kanana Camp – 3 nights
After your morning game drive you will connect with a shared light aircraft flight south-west over the heart of the Okavango Delta to arrive in the exclusive Kanana concession. Activities here are varied and flexible, with game drives by day and night, mokoro (dug out canoe) excursions, boat cruises (when water levels allow), guided walks and even the chance to spend a night out on a sleep out deck in the bush. The game viewing is superb, especially for leopard, while lion, cheetah and wild dogs are all found in the area too. Kanana has a gorgeous location overlooking a wide floodplain, and the camp has a happy and welcoming feel. The accommodation is very comfortable and the hospitality is excellent.
Day 10: End of Arrangements
After your final morning activity, you will connect with a shared light aircraft flight to Maun.
