The Lewa Conservancy is a stronghold for rhino as well as the full range of other key species, and by combining it with the Masai Mara you can expect non-stop incredible wildlife viewing and photography throughout. ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1-3: Lewa Wilderness – 3 nights
From Nairobi, take a scheduled light aircraft flight north to the exclusive Lewa Conservancy in central Kenya, sandwiched between the extensive Laikipia Plateau, Samburu National Park and Mount Kenya. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Lewa Wilderness, arriving in time to settle in and enjoy lunch. Your time on Lewa will focus on morning and afternoon game drives to view the exceptional big game of Lewa, and afternoon drives can be extended to include night drives, using a spotlight to seek out nocturnal species. There are also options for walking safaris, camel safaris, horse-riding, playing tennis, visits to the conservancy headquarters and day trips to explore further afield. Lewa Wilderness is a long-established property and has a fun and friendly safari atmosphere.

Day 4-7: Kicheche Bush Olare – 4 nights
After an early morning game drive you will connect with a scheduled light aircraft flight south-west over the Great Rift Valley to reach the open plains of the Masai Mara. You’ll land within the exclusive Olare Motorogi Conservancy, where you will be met by your guide from Kicheche Bush Olare and transferred, game viewing en route, to arrive in camp in time for lunch. Your days at Kicheche Bush Olare will be spent exploring the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, enjoying its excellent game viewing opportunities. Being a private conservancy, the experience is much more exclusive than being in the Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to game drives, you can also enjoy guided bush walks, night drives and visit a traditional village.

Day 8: End of Arrangements
Your morning is at leisure for your final game drive across the plains, before you connect with a scheduled light aircraft flight back to Nairobi.

US$8,500 – US$10,850 per person sharing (UK£6,800 – UK£10,050 per person sharing).

INCLUDED
Full board accommodation, house drinks, laundry, internal light aircraft scheduled flights, airstrip transfers, conservancy/park fees and guided game viewing activities on safari.

VARIATIONS AND EXTENSIONS
It is easy to add extra nights to either property, or even further safari destinations such as Amboseli, Laikipia, Samburu, Meru or the Mathews Range. It is of course also easy to add on some beach relaxation at the end, either on the Kenya coast or further afield in Zanzibar, Mauritius or Seychelles. WHEN TO TRAVEL
This itinerary is available year-round, though game viewing is likely to be best from June to October and from December through to March. Migration season in the Masai Mara is best from late July to early October. More information can be found on our Kenya When To Travel page. This itinerary starts and ends in Nairobi, which is serviced by a variety of major airlines. International flights are not included in the price guide.
