Lewa, Mara and Kenya Coast

7 nights of amazing wildlife followed by 3 nights on the beach.

This itinerary offers incredible game viewing, guiding and exclusivity, combining the game-rich Lewa Conservancy in central Kenya with the Mara North Conservancy in the wonderful Masai Mara. Before flying home you’ll then spend a few days relaxation on the beach. You can expect non-stop excellent wildlife viewing and photography on safari, and both properties featured offer a personal, intimate style with very comfortable accommodation, friendly service, high quality guiding and an authentic and social safari atmosphere. This style is mirrored on the coast, where Kinondo Kwetu offers a very exclusive, boutique, yet relaxed, beach experience.

ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1-3: Lewa House – 3 nights
From Nairobi, take a scheduled light aircraft flight north to the exclusive Lewa Conservancy in central Kenya, sandwiched between the extensive Laikipia Plateau, Samburu National Park and Mount Kenya. On arrival you will be met and transferred across the conservancy to Lewa House, arriving in time to settle in and enjoy lunch overlooking the waterhole and plains beyond. Your time on Lewa will focus on morning and afternoon game drives to view the exceptional big game of Lewa, and afternoon drives can be extended to include night drives, using a spotlight to seek out nocturnal species. There are also options for walking safaris, camel safaris, horse-riding, visits to the conservancy headquarters and day trips to explore further afield. Lewa House has a lovely setting overlooking a wide plain and waterhole surrounded by rolling hills, and the atmosphere is relaxed and exclusive.

Day 4-7: Offbeat Ndoto Camp – 4 nights
After an early morning game drive you will connect with a scheduled light aircraft flight south-west over the Great Rift Valley to reach the open plains of the Masai Mara. You’ll land within the exclusive Mara North Conservancy, where you will be met by your guide from Offbeat Ndoto Camp and transferred, game viewing en route, to arrive in camp in time for lunch. Your days at Offbeat Ndoto Camp will be spent exploring the Mara North Conservancy, enjoying its wonderful game viewing opportunities. Being in a private conservancy, the experience is much more exclusive than being in than the Masai Mara National Reserve. In addition to game drives, you can also enjoy guided bush walks, night drives and visit a traditional village.

Day 8-10: Kinondo Kwetu – 3 nights
Your morning is at leisure to enjoy a final game drive across the plains. After an early lunch you are transferred back to the local airstrip in order to connect with a light aircraft flight south-east to the Kenya coast (sometimes flying via Nairobi). On arrival into Diani Beach, you will be met and transferred south to arrive at the exclusive Kinondo Kwetu in the late afternoon. Kinondo Kwetu has a laid-back but discerning atmosphere, with very comfortable accommodation, friendly service and direct access to a lovely beach. Your time can be spent relaxing next to the ocean, or you can take part in a wide variety of activities including boat excursions, snorkelling, scuba diving, horse-riding and sightseeing.

Day 11: End of Arrangements
Your morning is at leisure on the beach. In the afternoon you will connect with a scheduled light aircraft flight back to Nairobi.
