Zimbabwe Family Safaris

From exploring Victoria Falls to big game safaris and fishing, Zimbabwe offers adventurous families a great opportunity.

Zimbabwe is probably not a natural choice for families with very young children, but for families with teenagers Zimbabwe offers many superb family options. In safari terms, Zimbabwe offers an authentic bush experience, and families choosing Zimbabwe will naturally enjoy getting out into the wilderness and will also no doubt wish to be fairly active on safari.

Zimbabwe is especially known as being home to some of the best guides in Africa, many of which still offer ‘old school’ hospitality. With the right itinerary, families can really make the most of these factors, combining a wonderful bush adventure and varied activities with top quality guiding and very personal hosting.

Victoria Falls is somewhat of an ‘adventure capital’ and there are many activities on offer, from bungee jumping, quad-biking and white-water rafting to helicopter flights and elephant interaction experiences. Some of these activities have lower age limits (often between 14 and 16 years) which means they are only suitable for families with older teenage children. However, there are also amazing cultural and sight-seeing experiences which are suitable for younger children, both around Victoria Falls and in other parts of the country.
