To Align With The Cost Of Gorilla Permits, Rwanda Offers Some Of The Most Luxurious Accommodation In East Africa

Rwanda is best known for its mountain gorilla populations in Volcanoes National Park, and with gorilla permits costing US$1500 per person per day, it is no surprise that several accommodation offerings cater purely for the five-star market. The levels of comfort and sophistication offered are truly excellent, though the prices at the top properties are not for the fainthearted.

In addition to a few very luxurious properties, there are a number of beautiful four-star lodges, close to Volcanoes National Park, that offer very comfortable accommodation, a warm welcome and lots of character too.

Secondary wildlife regions such as Nyungwe Forest in the south and Akagera National Park in the east, have more limited accommodation options, but both these areas offer a few options to choose from, including at least one property that offers a very high level of four-star comfort and exclusivity.
