Uganda Regions
Uganda offers a surprisingly wide range of wildlife regions and attractions.
Land-locked Uganda lies in the transition zone between the equatorial rainforests of central Africa and the savannah bush country of east Africa. This diversity has resulted in Uganda being one of Africa’s finest bird watching areas with well over 1000 species of birds recorded. In addition, the rare mountain gorilla is found in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, whilst the country is also home to big game and a bewildering number of other primate species including the chimpanzee.
