Exploring the Kalahari Desert in Namibia

The Kalahari Desert covers the entire eastern side of Namibia.

In the far north, Khaudom National Park is little visited and home to a variety of Kalahari wildlife. However, it is best known for offering access to genuine bushman villages.

South of Windhoek, near Mariental, a number of ranches such as Bagatelle Kalahari offer a true Kalahari wildlife and scenic experience. These ranches are also conveniently located as a stop over between Windhoek and either the southern Namib Desert or Fish River Canyon.
