Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud and fortunate to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers, who also recommend our services to their friends, family and colleagues, or even fellow travellers they meet on safari. Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. Hi Rob, Just a quick note to express our thanks for organising such a great itinerary for us over the holiday. One is always nervous that a holiday like this will live up to expectations, but it did, and exceeded them in so many places. The Seychelles was everything we hoped for. Ridiculously white coral sands and turquoise seas full of fish. Sunshine for the whole week (well mostly!) and delightful people everywhere. La Reserve, which is undergoing something of a transition under new ownership, was excellent. On to Tanda Tula. The scenic drive with Geoff Marsh was very interesting but got a bit squeezed for time as we wanted to be in Timbavati for 2.30pm. When we arrived, what a fabulous place. Great organisation and within the hour we were out on our first game drive. By the end of our second we’d already clocked up the big 5 and were concentrating on behavioural aspects and, of course, the birds. Dale Jackson and Jack and Isaac, the trackers, were terrific; we’re filled with admiration for there knowledge and skills. The next three days were filled with experiences that exceeded all our expectations, topped off by two encounters with wild dogs, one on a kill disputed with hyena. All the staff at the lodge were fantastic, the food was impossible to resist and the surroundings impeccable. Rob, thank you once again for all your efforts on our behalf.

Dear Rob, just a quick e-mail to say that we had a fantastic trip- thank you! We will complete & return the requested questionaire in due course but I just wanted to say thank you for organising a great trip. The Kicheche camps really are brilliant & seem to have most things just right. My only complaint is too much food! Thanks again.

Whilst this was an expensive holiday we had a terrific time and we both felt it was well worth it. Safari Consultants (and especially Michele) delivered 100%. We would have no hesitation in recommending them to others.

Dear Mary, Shona and I had a wonderful safari in Zambia and thank you for your help in organising it all. Safari Consultants have been excellent. On the camps, we started at Kaingo and saw good game throughout. There was, however, a disconnect between the ownership and the running of the camp. Whilst we would exempt the excellent Yvonne we felt that standards were perhaps just not quite as high as if the owners of the enterprise were more visibly committed. Tafika by contrast embodied these aspects in spades. One couldn’t help but be enthused by the care and commitment of John, Carol and Jenny Coppinger and by the way this fed through to their on-site management and staff. The selection of game at Tafika was also excellent. Chiawa was both stylish and professionally run. Game viewing was perhaps a little light but following South Luangwa was always going to be hard in that respect. All three camps offered exciting extras – hides, air and water activities –and the standard of food was remarkable. Anyway as I said we had a wonderful safari and hope that the comments above are helpful to you as you advise other guests.

I just wanted to be sure to take a moment out of my schedule to relay exceptionally positive feedback regarding the customer service Michele provided throughout the entire length of planning/preparations for my recent safari to Kenya. I just returned from the Offbeat Meru and Mara camps (recommended to us by Michele based upon our stated needs/interest) last Friday, and it is safe to say that Michele arranged nothing less than a trip of a life time, and did so in such a professional and considerate manner at every step along the way. She adeptly and patiently fielded my many many questions over the course of months in order to arm my wife and I with the information we needed to make well-informed decisions about the budget, accommodations, timing, and destinations on our trip. And perhaps most importantly she did so without making me feel pressured into any particular option or itinerary that was not right for my wife and I. I have wanted to take a trip like this since I was a child and admittedly dialogued with representatives from numerous tour organizers in an effort to find options that were the best fit for my wife and I in order to plan it. In sum, I couldn’t be happier that I settled on using Safari Consultants after the trip Michele organized for us, and how she went about doing so. Professional, organized, congenial, knowledgeable, flexible and courteous. I am now actively recommending your company to my friends who are interested in possibly taking a similar journey in the near future themselves. Best regards from an exceedingly satisfied customer.

Mary, just wanted to say thank you so so so so so so so much for an utterly stunning 19 days. The precision and care you took was so obvious and so brilliant – from the way the hire cars were delivered – to the middle of the nowhere – to the awesome two man plane – to the brilliant lodges. Just back – on our tube going home – and had to say an immediate and vociferous THANK YOU.

Dear Michele – many thanks for organising our trip to Zambia, we both think the quantity and sheer variety of game this trip was the best ever (list too long to include!). At Tafika we witnessed a pack of 19 Wild Dog and pups playing and enjoying life – a highlight of our stay there, as well as the microlight flight and village visit. However, the trip just got better and better by the day (and hotter and hotter). Everyone at Chamilandu, Kuyenda (MAGIC) and Mfuwe Lodge, without exception was helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and the game glorious and plentiful. We loved it – thanks again.

Hi Mary, as Jack said we had the best time so thanks again. I think if I had to choose Thonga would have to rate as my favourite place; lovely place, people and utterly unforgettable. I’m missing the leopards already….

Dear Safari Consultants team, we returned home today, and Sylvia has already rung to leave special thanks to Mary for arranging our wonderful trip. Everything worked flawlessly (except when I managed to leave a bag behind – see separate email thanking those who remedied the situation for me). The locations were all excellent and there were none that we left without regret, whilst also of course looking forward to the next. The guides and camp teams were all impressive. We have returned with unforgettable memories, many close-up photographs to review, many ticks in the bird book, recollections of many pleasant acquaintances met, and a fondness for Botswana in particular. As intended, once in Zambia we considered ourselves off safari, although the bird walk at Waterberry topped up our bird list considerably. The Victoria Falls from Livingstone Island experience, even at low water, was marvellous. Thank you once again for arranging such a superb experience for us.

Hi Michele, very many thanks. It was a superb holiday! Both places were really fabulous and yes we saw not only cheetah but also wild dogs including a litter of 13 pups – which are apparently v rare in Kenya if not also elsewhere. The Mara House stay really blew me away however and I would certainly consider going back! Let alone the beautiful house and setting, the staff there were superb – more than going the extra mile for us every day. Our guide was Dixon and Dennis looked after us mainly on the food/house side. They worked very hard but were also very pleasant and easygoing company and we had plenty of conversations to find out what life was like for the local people – how they lived, their culture, values and what they ate etc. Truly enlightening and thought-provoking about what really matters vis a vis the over-materialistic pampered world of the West! So a high really high recommendation there from me! Very many thanks for all you have done – and your fabulous choice of places for us. I have the safari – if not the Kenya – bug now, so it may be that you hear from me again. Thank you again!
