Hi there Michele, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for helping us organise the trip. It was the most amazing holiday – it felt like I had been away for ages. Everyone we met was superb – I hadn’t quite understood the size of the team that would be supporting us up the mountain (we both made it!!) – what a fabulous set of guys. We were well fed – I couldn’t quite believe 3 course breakfasts, lunches and dinners on the side of a mountain – staggering! And Stevie and Goodluck certainly earned their money on summit night. The staff at Kicheche were great. The scariest bit of every day was the walk back to our tent after dinner – we had lions, buffalo, hippo, zebra and wildebeest in the camp – so that was interesting – we didn’t hang around!  The quality of the accommodation and food was excellent. We were lucky to see a cheetah kill – and had some very close up experiences with lions and elephants. It was definitely the right thing to go to a private conservancy – which was evident to us when we went into the national park for the day and saw the amount of cars following the animals around. And Kinondo – what can I say – totally chilled out bliss!! Issie has complained about having to wear shoes again now she’s home – she looked like a little hobo for the week! Food, service, accommodation, cleanliness, facilities – all fabulous. Thank you so much.

Hi Frances. The main reason we decided on Safari Consultants was the attention to detail given in your responses to our quite thorough brief and the confidence given by the local knowledge of all of the options we were offered. The choice of Mashatu Tented Camp was perfect for us to experience the feeling of being in the bush without actually camping out. An amazing experience hearing the wildlife close by through the night. Watching the elephants at the waterhole whilst having dinner was magical. The setting and the people at Mashatu made for an authentic intimate Botswana experience. Kambaku again was perfect for what we were looking for. The thatched villas were luxurious and very well spread out over the grounds. A real sense of space. Of course Kambaku is a different experience to Mashatu, it is South Africa and not Botswana. The game drives were excellent. Some of the sundowner stops at Kambaku were stunning. The night skies at dusk were breath taking. In fact with the help of lions visiting over dinner, we saw the big five in the first afternoon and evening. What can we say about Victoria Falls. There is a very good reason it is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. To experience the power and beauty was very moving. Clive was brilliant and made this a memorable experience. The Zambezi sunset cruise was a marvellous end to what was a trip of a lifetime. The boat was excellent and staff brilliant and the sunset, unforgettable. With the benefit of hindsight would we have changed anything?…..No, and I think that says it all. So a very big thank you to you Frances and everybody at Safari Consultants and your African partners. It is quite remarkable that such a complex schedule went without a hitch. A compliment to all involved.

Dear Frances, we had a fabulous time – Lavender Manor in Hermanus was my favourite, I loved the fact that you could walk to the beach and there was a lovely walk along the coast to a very nice restaurant “Lizette’s” that we particularly enjoyed. Also Betty’s Bay was lovely and we saw several whales when we went whale watching. Blackheath Lodge at Cape Town has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and the staff were excellent, the room had a balcony looking out across the city to the sea. We climbed Table Mountain and went to Robben Island. Bakubung Lodge was also very nice with excellent staff, we were very lucky on the game drives, the driver we had was particularly good at finding the animals. We had the most amazing time, the views were spectacular, everyone was friendly and professional, the Braai evening we went to at Pilanesberg provided the unexpected surprise of African Singers and dancers – fabulous! Thank you for a very special holiday.

Dear Rob, thank you for organising an absolutely fantastic holiday for us to Zambia. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Both the houses lived up to and surpassed expectations. Sometimes pictures on websites can be a little misleading but this was not the case. The houses were gorgeous, clean, comfortable and in superb surroundings.  Wildlife did literally walk by and I can say that I have never been anywhere where I have been lulled to sleep by the sound of hippos munching on grass outside my bedroom “window”!  The food at both houses was always first rate. Really delicious, creative, fresh – I don’t know how they do it especially when you consider their location. The staff in both locations were always helpful, friendly and attentive. At Chongwe River House, Alan and Nicci were superb hosts – lovely to chat to but discreet to leave us to family time too. A really great start to the holiday. Alan was a superb guide – we concentrated mainly on birds with him and he took on the challenge to get us to 100 birds whilst we were there with a great sense of fun. The bush camping experience was truly amazing and definitely the highlight. We all learnt so much and special thanks has to go to our guide, Kanga, who was absolutely first rate. He was always happy to answer questions, was really in touch with all that was going on around us and was happy to do extras. He accompanied us to Luangwa house and Jen and John enjoyed his company and expertise too. I think they said he was the best guide they’d had. So thank you and everyone involved for making this trip so very, very memorable.

Rob, just a brief note to say thanks again for arranging our trip to Kenya. We had a great time, and definitely pleased we went with Sarara (a magical three nights). Got some super photos too – so many wildlife photo opportunities (particularly in the Mara) and lots of black and white rhino in Ol Pejeta. Steve Carey was an interesting character – we got on with him famously. Anyway, thanks again for making it all possible.

Hi Rob, we had a fabulous trip that went flawlessly and we had an amazing time as a family. We were extremely happy with all the properties; the food was excellent, the staff extremely friendly and welcoming, and both our guides were first rate. The vehicles were of very good quality, and we were quite content even on the days with longer drives. Our highlights were probably breakfast at the hippo pool in Ngorongoro crater and picnics in general, the enormity of the migration and the cacophony of sound as you approach the grazing areas, the hot air balloon trip, and the general proximity and variety of game seen. So all in all it was exactly what I had hoped for and I would have zero hesitation in recommending yourselves to future travellers. Many thanks again for all your work in putting together such a great trip.

Hi Frances, we have been back for a while, took some time to get sorted and slip back into our lives, and now I want to give you some feedback on our trip to Namibia. In short, it was very different from Tanzania and a unique experience that you, again, organized very well. We had a fantastic time and we are very grateful for your excellent service! Let me say a word about the trip in general. First and foremost, we loved it! Secondly, it was well-designed in the sense that the initial camping trip was a bit rough and outdoors, which took as out of our office mind-sets and it ended with an inspiring highlight in Mundulea. This made us think that we were in such good hands when we asked you to arrange the trip for us. We came back with a very happy feeling and we are very grateful for the trip that you organized for us. Thank you again for that.

Hi Frances, well that’s me back home again after the most amazing trip ever. Everything went to plan and I can’t praise the Kambaku teams enough. They were fantastic. Thank you so much for all your help and assistance in what has been the best holiday of my life. I will definitely be returning to Kambaku. Thank you so much again Frances for everything and I honestly can’t recommend both you and the Kambaku Lodges high enough.
