Denis Private Island

Denis Private Island is an outer coral island offering a true desert island experience.

Denis Private Island is named after Denis de Trobriand who first set foot on the island back in 1773. Lying ninety-five kms north of Mahé, on the edge of the Seychelles bank and covering some 300 acres (143 hectare). Immediately offshore from Denis the seabed plunges to 2000m down, and it is this region that makes for some excellent diving and sport fishing.

Other water sports available include snorkelling, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing. There is also a tennis court and a billiard table. The island is also involved in an environmental management plan with the Green Islands Foundation (involved with sustainable development). There is one tourist lodge on the island offering an exclusive 4.5 star experience.
