Testimonials

Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud and fortunate to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers, who also recommend our services to their friends, family and colleagues, or even fellow travellers they meet on safari. Our aim is for every holiday we arrange to be perfect for the people who undertake them. Listed below are some of the comments we have received from our customers. Please also visit the AITO (Association of Independent Tour Operators) feedback site to see reviews on our services and our clients’ experiences.

Dear Michele, we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to South Africa and the itinerary provided us with the opportunity for many varied and interesting experiences. Whilst many visitors to the Cape and Garden Route start at Cape Town and work eastwards, we consider the way we went, i.e east to west finishing in Cape Town, works well indeed – the hurly burly of Cape Town and potential for getting lost could be daunting after a twelve hour flight! (we grew to love our GPS which we only needed in Cape Town). Many thanks for providing a great service and a holiday to remember.

Dear Rob, as you know from my earlier note the holiday was an outstanding success and fulfilled all the hopes of our wide age range. We felt the amount of time at each place was just right (except for Theo who howled for two hours when it was time to leave Jembisa) and we all enjoyed the contrasts – warm embrace of Jembisa, stark exciting Mashatu, ritzy Cape Town, side trip back to Europe at Franschhoek and ending on a high with strong winds and a heaving sea full of whales at Hermanus. You worked it out so we didn’t lose too much time in travelling and what we did by road gave us the chance to glimpse the real world – which we needed to put the luxury into context. We really appreciated how much you put into two weeks. Thank you for taking so much trouble to interpret our wishes and if the piggy bank miraculously replenishes itself we shall be back!

I can’t thank you enough. Endless trouble taken by Michele to listen before advising itinerary and selection was spot on for our party. Lewa was a perfect introduction to Africa and game-viewing. Meru, remote – several days we saw no other vehicles on game-drives and elephant visited our camp! Kicheche was everything you led us to expect. Beyt al Chai was stylish and friendly with an excellent restaurant. All logistics worked perfectly. Very reassuring. We’ll be back when we can afford it!

We’ve fallen in love with Zambia. There’s a timelessness, wild, savage beauty, incredible animals going about their business from sunrise to sunset, wonderful camps and ever smiling people to care for us. An experince of a lifetime!

Dear Rob, Yet again, we had a fantastic time – you always gauge the camps/facilities/activities absolutely correctly for us. There was just the right mixture of walking and drives, and luxury and more basic “camping” (although I hesitate to call it that!). All the arrangements etc ran like clockwork. Deb Tittle was, of course, fantastic and warranted being the top of your recommendations. However, this does not detract from the rest of the camps, all of which were excellent and which we would willingly and highly recommend to anyone. Thank you very much once more for “doing us proud” and organizing a holiday to remember!

Hi Rob, yes we had a fantastic time, loads to tell you!! Kicheche Laikipia was as beautiful as ever although it had changed a bit since the drought in 2009! The new lake managed to swallow a large bull elephant who spent a wonderful time swimming and diving, and thoroughly enjoying himself. We had some fantastic encounters with our guide Mohammad including a pack of Wild Dogs and an Aardvaark. We spent a whole day following the dogs and were eventually rewarded when they hunted down an impala. During that day we also saw a zebra giving birth and stayed to watch until the baby was on its feet and trotting next to mum – took about 20 mins, amazing! Sarara was wonderful. What a beautiful area – I could have spent longer there. We saw two leopard kills and lost count of the number of leopard sightings. Did lots of walking at Serian Main Camp. Saw a leopard strolling past the camp on my walk on our first afternoon. Another day I went walking without Amanda and came across three lion on a kill!

Dear Bill and Mary, well we returned safely from another trip to Africa thanks to our good friends at Safari Consultants. As for the trip itself we can only say thank you for always knowing our needs. I was not expecting too much game at Laikipia and were we surprised. Besides the joy of seeing Andy and Sonja again the game viewing was excellent. We saw a Cheetah kill 2 baby Warthogs, which was a bit unsettling for Terry but it was all part of nature. We even saw a small pack of Wild Dogs on hunt early one evening. That is the only time we have actually seen these dogs hunting. Amazing animals. Unexpectedly Mara North was quite green and the game viewing was over the top. Here we saw the Wildebeest crossing the Mara back into Tanzania. Quite a sight. One became dinner for a lion and another for a Crocodile. At your request Patrick met us at Mara Camp and was our personal guide for both Mara and Bush Camps. He was terrific and we’d like management to know that. Bush Camp was exactly as we remembered. We are also pleased to report that several other guests mentioned they booked their Safari through Safari Consultants and had only good things to say about your attention to detail and concern for your clients. What more can I add about how pleased we are that we found you in Zimbabwe in 1995? We are already saving for our next trip and expect to bring another couple with us. Thank you again.

Both Kate and I had an absolutely fabulous time in Madagascar. What an amazing country, not only in terms of the flora and fauna (which are exceptional) but also in richness of the culture, countryside and the people. The excellence of our holiday I know was down in no small part to the work that you and your team put in to tailoring the trip to our requirements.

Dear Bill, the trip to Zambia and Malawi was excellent, and we were extremely pleased with the quality of the locations in Malawi. Mkulumadze Lodge is going to be one of the great attractions in the coming years. We thought it was terrific, and with the addition of predators it will become an absolute must. Well done and many thanks. We look forward to our next trip.
