Hi Rob. We had an absolutely amazing time. “This is the best yet!” was spoken every day, right up to departure. I think I can speak for everyone in saying this was the best trip of our lifetimes. We are so grateful for the care you put into setting up this trip – it was beyond fabulous!!

Hi Rob, we had a fantastic trip. Livingstone has been spruced up slightly since our last visit. The Falls were magnificent, best we have ever seen them. I would recommend this time of year to anyone who wants to see the falls. Islands of Siankaba was the best we’ve ever seen the place. The food was fantastic, the staff are all great, I can’t say enough about how pleasant, friendly and obliging all of the staff were. Kwando Lagoon – WOW – was as good as most of the camps I have been to in Botswana. The tented thatched rooms were enormous, the biggest rooms of any lodge I have ever stayed in. We all had a great time on each part of our trip, I was so glad to visit Africa again, Cara got so much out of the trip and best of all wants to go back!

Hi Rob, All flights, transfers, pick-ups etc. went very smoothly, the organisation from start to finish was spot on. For the three “safari novices” among us, the start at Chobe was ideal. The sheer numbers of species and individual numbers we had seen by the end of the first (half) day left us spellbound. Disho, our guide there, was excellent; energetic, articulate, amusing and with a very sharp eye, picking out a treed leopard from about 400 yards away. The boat trip was very good, a completely different taste of the place, again with impressive numbers of hippos, crocs, elephants and birds. “Footsteps”….What a difference! All of the staff were good, and Paul, the guide is a natural entertainer and showman so was an excellent front man at mealtimes and round the campfire. His guiding was also excellent, the walks taking us to some superb places and wonderful views of the wildlife. Selinda Explorers was the jewel. The degree of comfort, luxury and high standard of food, catering and camp staff was as good as we could have desired. The crowning glory of the place, though, was Kane (pronounced Karney) who, as a genuine bushman displayed an amazing depth of knowledge. It was a privilege to be in his company for our time there, he quickly assessed our degree of interest and talked about his personal history and life, stories of his people and, of course a constant supply of information about the wildlife, plants, animals and birds. The walks with him were wonderful. Little Vumbura was superbly run and the standard of everything there is exemplary. It was fascinating to see such a contrasting waterworld area as well as the usual varied animal sightings. Many thanks indeed for your organisation and planning, I don’t think we could have had a better introduction to a safari holiday; the difficulty would be in matching it!

Hi Bill, we had an amazing time seeing all the big five as well as a cheetah kill. We even saw some unusual and somewhat timid animals as well, very exciting stuff. Sonja and Andy are lovely people, we were made to feel welcome in both camps. Well worth the money! Africa is in our heart, we plan to go again real soon. Thank you too for arranging this trip for us and your team, we will never forget it.

Dear Michele, everything went extremely well. The Masai guides at the Offbeat Camp were outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. They even found us a leopard which had been treed by a group of baboons. I have never been able to get photographs as good as those I took of the leopard. Diani Beach was also a great way to unwind after the safari. Asha Cottage was very comfortable and produced superb food. You chose well for us and the arrangements all worked well. So thank you so much for orchestrating it all for us.

Dear Rob, we have to comment on what a wonderful trip to Botswana you put together for us and we would like to make a special thank you and mention the wonderful attention Selinda gave us on the occasion of our ruby wedding anniversary. The private dinner was wonderful and we will always remember it. It was great to see another side of Africa which we thought was magical! Thanks again.

Rob, What a fantastic holiday – I can’t even begin to say how wonderful the trip was – from the first minute to the last, I loved it all. I can’t thank you enough for making this very special trip absolutely perfect. Everything worked so well and we both loved every minute of it!

We had an amazing time and really enjoyed it. Ten days was not long enough and we would love to be able to travel with Letaka Safaris again. Pat was excellent. It was good to have a local guide who knew all about the area and wildlife. His in-depth knowledge of the fauna and flora was amazing. Michelle at Safari Consultants was very efficient and always responded to our e-mails straightaway. She sent us a lot of useful information.

Dear Mary, it was brilliant! Laikipia Wilderness was so good, the accommodation was very comfortable, food delicious and all the staff very attentive and helpful. We saw the wild dogs on two separate days, and had two/three more FIRSTS – two genets, a zorilla having a tug of war with a jackal and apparently an Aardwolf but I think I blinked but Steve did confirm the den the next day. Kicheche was, as ever, brilliant, very comfortable, delicious food and wine, excellent guides, brilliant game drives. We will never believe a Kenyan again who asks if we would like to see a leopard! On our last night we had just finished a drink round the fire when the ‘askaris’ said they had spotted a leopard and took us down to the lake, shining bright torches along the bank where funnily enough no leopard was to be seen but we did not suspect that on our return we would find that the dining table had been moved under the stars and was beautifully decorated with leaves in heart shapes. For once the menu was not announced and we found out why when everyone came out singing and dancing, bringing a wonderfully decorated chocolate cake for dessert – we felt very special and very spoilt. Hemingways was Hemingways and we were greeted like long lost friends even though we hadn’t stayed there for four years. The weather was glorious and on our actual Anniversary once again we were presented with our dessert accompanied by much singing and dancing – I can’t think who could have told them!!!! All the arrangements went exactly as you planned and we are very gratefully too you for making this such a memorable trip. Many, many thanks again. We will certainly be in touch when we are organising our next trip.
