Zambia safari prices set to rise by 16%

Posted on

In keeping with the Kenyan, Tanzanian and Ugandan authorities, the Zambian Government is currently looking into putting VAT at 16% onto all travel services. It is likely that this will be introduced on the 01 January 2014 and is set to have a HUGE impact on safari prices. Currently travel services are fully exempt from VAT so prices are set to rise by the full amount.

However, some good rumours persist that all bookings already in place before 31 December 2013 will be EXEMPT of this tax so if you’re planning on visiting Zambia in 2014, get your trip sorted out now. Contact us today to plan a truly remarkable safari experience.
