Posted on

Join celebrated guide Jackson Looseyia on a special 5 night Big 5 safari to enjoy the famous wildebeest migration from the 23rd September 2012.

Jackson, the celebrated Maasai guide on the BBC’s Big Cat Diaries and host to the filming units for Disney’s ‘African Cats’, will lead a small group of wildlife enthusiasts (maximum 8 guests) into the heart of the Masai Mara during this spectacular time.

The Masai Mara is the world’s premier wildlife destination, famous for its predator populations and the annual wildebeest migration which visits from July to October each year. Few wildlife spectacles can match the drama which unfolds each day on the plains.

Accommodation will be in a traditional mobile camp with four large comfortable living tents each having its own en suite flush toilet and traditional safari bucket shower. There is a central living area and a full a full safari crew caters for your every requirement from mixing hot/cold water for that perfect shower, to serving scrumptious meals under the African sky.

Days will be spent exploring the plains, hosted by Jackson and his fellow professional guides.

The proposed itinerary is:

Saturday, 22nd: Outward daylight British Airways flight from London to Nairobi, Kenya. Evening arrival and after completing entry requirements, you will be met and transferred to the Palacina Hotel for overnight (bed and breakfast)

Sunday, 23rd: After breakfast, transfer to the smaller Wilson Airport where you connect with the scheduled mid-morning air transfer service to the famous plains of the Masai Mara.

Here you will be met by Jackson and his fellow guide and transferred, game-viewing en route, back to the mobile camp. The next five days are spent exploring the famous plains on the look-out for the predator species during this time of bounty.

Friday, 28th: the chance for a final game drive before connecting with the return scheduled air transfer to Nairobi. On arrival, you are transferred to a suitable hotel where you have the chance to relax and take an early dinner (not included). Later, transfer out to Jomo Kenyatta International and connect with the overnight British Airways flight back to London.
