Having specialised in travel to Africa since 1983, we are extremely proud to have built up a wonderful customer base of repeat travellers who recommend our services to their friends and colleagues. Whether our customers travel just once to Africa as a special celebration holiday, or go back multiple times a year, our aim is for every holiday to be perfect, every time. Listed below are just some of the comments we have received from our customers visiting Kenya in the past year.
Hi Michele, I have been meaning to write to you since we got home, to THANK YOU for an absolutely wonderful experience. It was quite a complicated itinerary, but the connections and contacts with guides and local representatives was seamless. The tented camps were fantastic, particularly the Kicheche camps due to their location. We were blown away by the level of service, attention to detail and the high quality of the meals provided by the lovely staff at all camps. Islands of Siankaba was also a fantastic change of pace and end to our trip. Our guides were wonderful - Jackson in Tanzania, Bernard in Rwanda, Peter at Ol Pejeta and George at Mara North. Their easy going personalities and knowledge of their country’s geography, history and wildlife made the trip so much more rewarding than we expected. The access they provided to the wildlife was amazing. Thanks again to you, Josie, Bill, Rob and the team. We had a wonderful trip and would highly recommend Safari Consultants!
Stephen, Julie, Samuel & Lauren from Australia travelled to Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zambia
Dear Michele - Amazing trip. Superbly organised. Every detail taken care of. Thanks.
Nick, Liz, Sam and Ruth from Lincolnshire travelled to Kenya
Dear Frances, thank you SO much for your amazing recommendations and help in planning my trip to Kenya. I had an AMAZING experience! From the SafariLink flights to being picked up by David, my guide, to the Kicheche Mara camp itself (Andrea and Manuela, and really the whole staff, were wonderful). It was everything I could have ever hoped for and more than I imagined it could be. I just can't thank you enough.
Madeline from the USA travelled to Kenya
Dear Rob, we had a truly wonderful holiday in Kenya! Thank you for arranging the perfect safari for us - as you did 3 years ago in Zambia. We have nothing but praise for all four camps which were complete contrasts and provided such different experiences. Elsa's Kopje was the perfect place to unwind at the start of our holiday. Though the game was harder to find than our Zambia experience, we saw more elephants here than anywhere else in Kenya. On to Sarara where Rob and Meg were running the camp extremely well and our delightful guide, Mark, was excellent and we learned much about the Samburu culture. We much enjoyed our room overlooking the waterhole, with the local Kudu drinking our morning coffee milk, the informal atmosphere and communal dining arrangements, particularly the moonlight dinner on the dry river bed! Our visit to the Singing Wells was an extraordinary and memorable experience - a "must" for anyone visiting Sarara. Callum and Sophie were lovely hosts at Lewa House where we stayed in one of the old thatched cottages. Very good sightings of black and white rhino and cheetah and a rare glimpse of wild dogs. Serian was the ideal final stop. Not only was the camp very pleasant and comfortable, it was the quantity of game and our guide that made our stay so special and we were grateful to go there at the end of our visit. With many thanks for brilliant organisation and our kind regards.
Graham and Joanna from Surrey travelled to Kenya
Dear Frances, the welcome and service in both camps were exemplary. The people in Nairobi were very efficient and the Boma was good fun for late night drinks on arrival and dinner before departure. Nairobi Airport was a revelation, loads of security and a bit chaotic but no more than was to be expected. Guides in both camps were wonderful. Tim at Naboisho and James at Serian were professional, interesting and could not have been more informative and well briefed. Thanks to Frances for putting together another great Safari Consultants holiday.
Andrew and Eve from London travelled to Kenya
Dear Julia, we had an amazing time. Thanks for the smooth organising and for recommending such great places. We would go back to both of them! Both places were fabulous, but we thought the managers of Kicheche are really special people, and they really made our time there spectacular. Our guide there was amazing as well.
Michelle and family from London travelled to Kenya
Hi Michele, Just a quick email to let you know that we all had a fantastic time in the Masai Mara recently. The photo opportunities far exceeded our expectations with images of cubs of all varieties (Lion 3 weeks and 3 months, Cheetah 3 months and 15 months and Leopard 6 weeks) captured. As planned we made the most of our time and were on the road by no later than 6am every day and all I need to do now is to wade through the 14,000 images that I alone have taken. One thing we did notice was this time was how much drier it was with our cameras and lenses covered in dust on a daily basis, something we did not have an issue with last time. As usual the hospitality shown in both camps was of the highest standard and we treated to some Masai dancing and signing in celebration of Cathy’s birthday. Once again we were all amazed at the ability of our guides Patrick and Jimmy to either spot or predict activity whilst at the same time respecting the animals. Thanks to all at Safari Consultants for all your help in making this another unforgettable holiday.
Brian and Cathy from Leicester travelled to the Masai Mara
Frances, sorry it's taken me over a week since we returned from Kenya to let you know what a brilliant time we had. It really was the best holiday either of us have been on. We have been raving about it to everyone, and we've really caught the 'safari bug'. We'd love to go again, to somewhere else in Kenya or elsewhere. Thank you for all your help, right down to sending us all the documents in that nice travel purse. It was really useful.
Nicola and Aaron from London travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances – wow what a holiday! Keith and I will live off the memories for many years to come. We both wanted to write to you to give you a personal thank you for all your due diligence and attention to detail. At all times you were professional, friendly and listened and guided us in the best way to achieve our holiday dreams. Every single detail we had ever mentioned seemed to have been catered for at all of our accommodations and even when you were out of the office we never felt out on a limb the service provided by not only yourself but Safari Consultants has been exemplary. Keith and I would like to personally thank you for making our holiday the dream that it was. It was a pleasure working with you to build our holiday of a lifetime. Thank you so much.
Keith and Joanne from Kent travelled to Rwanda, Kenya and the Seychelles
Hello Bill, as first time safari goers the holiday ran like clockwork. Transfers were punctual and friendly, all travel arrangements were well communicated and the choice of camps and order of camps suited us very well. The information provided before we left was invaluable including camera types and clothing. We had nothing to compare this to but are fairly sure it would be hard to beat.
Trevor and Mary from Hertfordshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, I wanted to thank you for everything you arranged for us, it went perfectly; everything dovetailed beautifully and you had thought out our needs exactly. The safari experience was breathtaking - we had no idea we would get so close to the animals, and from the first moment it was one thrill after another. Both camps were lovely in their different ways and the order we visited them was just right, as we moved smoothly from the bliss of the Fairview shower and bed to what felt like the height of luxury at Offbeat but then to the even smarter Naboisho. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and our bush walk and camp (which turned out to be the night of the full moon!) very exciting. (We nearly walked into a rather bold lioness). So, it could not have been a more wonderful experience and we will certainly recommend you very highly when we get the chance.
Angela from Devon travelled to Kenya
Dear Rob, the trip was amazing, very well organized, beautiful lodges and we experienced such beautiful nature and wildlife, really amazing!! Thanks for everything.
Dirk-Jan and Jacqueline from the Netherlands travelled to Kenya
Dear Frances, just to say the safaris were excellent. Your service was brilliant. Ange and I had a fabulous time. I'll be filling in the questionnaire but just wanted you to know everything went well and all the pickups and hotels worked very well too. We were thrilled with both the Offbeat and the Naboisho experiences. It was a good mix and the flycamp was a marvellous icing on the cake and several of the other guests at Naboisho were envious of our experience though the walking safari was a good part of it too. We did see such diversity the abundance and close encounters were truly fabulous. Thanks for all your expertise in sorting places which were exactly right for what we were seeking. Much appreciated.
June from Devon travelled to Kenya
Another very successful holiday, our 7th organised by Safari Consultants. As always, they delivered everything we required in terms of itinerary, accommodation and transfers, and once again we benefited from their detailed first-hand knowledge of every property we used. Their meticulous attention to extra details makes life easier for someone of 76 with mobility problems, from ordering a wheelchair at airports to requesting a room nearest the main living area was much appreciated. Safari Consultants' service is not just excellent, it is outstanding and has been so without exception ever since we first travelled with them. We would never consider using any other company to organise a holiday for us in southern or eastern Africa.
John and Jennifer from Berkshire travelled to Kenya and Seychelles
Hello Mary, thanks again for your help in organising what was an absolutely tremendous holiday. My boys loved it right from the start of walking across the car park at Kenyatta Airport to find we were straight into a safari 4x4, and I’ve never heard my wife use the word “awesome” as much as the last fortnight. We saw some phenomenal habitats and wildlife, stayed in some fabulous accommodation, met some lovely people, and the welcome and hospitality extended to us was almost uniformly warm and generous throughout.
Graeme, Fiona, Duncan and Iain from East Dunbartonshire travelled to Kenya and Tanzania
Hello Mary, we had an absolutely fantastic time. We loved the Mara Camp - the managers and staff were so friendly and helpful. Alex keeps telling everyone about the charcoal oven and how fantastic the food was. Our guide Jimmy was lovely and a very good photographer, we miss him lots. I was delighted that every single arrangement you made for us to be met and transported from one place to another went according to plan. Thank you so much.
Linda and Alexander from London travelled to Kenya and Tanzania
Second time with Safari Consultants to Kenya, and as on the previous trip we found them to be deeply knowledgeable, very responsive, and arrangements in Kenya to work very smoothly. The two destinations visited in Kenya this trip - Laikipia Wilderness and in particular a six day walk with camels organised by Karisia - were quite exceptional. Really expert guiding, thrilling yet still confidence-inspiring encounters on foot with elephant and buffalo, lion around all night, considerable comfort and dedicated and friendly staff. Go there: you will remember it forever, and will also be supporting exemplary conservation in Laikipia.
M&L from Oxfordshire travelled to Kenya
Dear Mary, it has been my intention since returning from Kicheche earlier this month to drop a line to say a number of "thank you's" but as ever my response is tardy! So belatedly, thank you for the......fabulously friendly & efficient service, useful wallets & lovely post cards, annual subscription to "Travel Africa", which is already giving me withdrawal symptoms, and all the various handy hints. Such unexpected or anticipated added value leaves all other travel consultants trailing behind in your wake. Luckily everything went like clockwork, but if it hadn't, the impression I am left with is I would have been fully supported. We were lucky enough to meet one of your lovely colleagues at Mara camp (Julia), again she gave such a positive impression of Safari Consultants. The safari was fabulous, Kicheche camps are so special and it was lovely to meet Manu & Andrea, the new managers at Mara camp - what a lovely, genuine, passionate couple they are. We had lovely sightings including a cheetah up a tree (that was a first for me). I will definitely be in touch next time I'm booking a holiday & would have no hesitation in recommending Safari Consultants.
Suzanne from Oxfordshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, the trip was simply beyond our already very high expectations….I now value the time you took to guide us to the 3 camps…they were each totally different from one another and each were an experience on its own! Tortilis was perfect, and there were lots of animals! Plus we mostly had very clear sky and beautiful sunsets with Kilimanjaro. Our guide was very experienced and we often got very close to various animals such as elephants and lions. We actually saw a Black Mamba which apparently they rarely see! The camp with the water hole in front always busy with animals was great. In Lewa, we enjoyed how different the camp was. A giraffe was often seen on site, the girls enjoyed horseback riding and we did a bush breakfast. The camp in the Masai Mara was totally different. The river with the hippos a few feet away and the noise of the water was a totally different environment! The Kenyan people were amazing! Thanks again!!
Linda, Luc, Tania and Bianca from Canada travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, it was a fantastic week; both accommodations were faultless and the game viewing was truly breath taking. The exclusivity of the experience both through the way we were spoilt in the resorts (e.g. dinner under the stars, vehicle & guide specifically for us) and during the game drives (rarely saw other vehicles) made it truly memorable. I would highly recommend each of the locations; Lewa Wilderness provided us a truly tranquil setting with amazing service to fully relax, while Kicheche Mara was a perfect location to immerse yourselves within the fantastic Mara. Thanks again.
David and Se Wah from Dubai travelled to Kenya
Dear Michele, did the holiday live up to our expectations? And then some - it was more than fantastic. It really is the best holiday we have ever had. We enjoyed all the camps and Sonia & Andy made my birthday extra special with the teams traditional songs and a cake. We also watched a lion eat her zebra kill with sundowners on my actual birthday!! I think we have been very lucky first timers - walking safari in Laikipia and "came across" a rhino; we watched cheetah and Cubs eat their kill; saw Nabiki the cheetah and managed to see Fig the Leopard and cub on 3 occasions! Other highlights included lions mating, the marsh pride lions for hours with breakfast.... And then, on our final game drive, when I'd asked to see elephants, giraffe and anything else again - we saw a cheetah kill!!!! By the time we arrived at Diani, I was glad I'd asked for a beach bit, as was Steve! Kinondo Kwetu was amazing and we did manage to do the sacred forest, where it promptly poured down while we were in there. Auspicious according to our guide. And we were glad we went on to the village to see how people do manage to live and survived the coconut wine! Thank you so much Michele for putting together a holiday that is so memorable and enjoyable. And for all the extra touches for my birthday. We will be in touch for the next trip....
Cath and Steve from Shrewsbury travelled to Kenya
Our very first trip to Africa and we’re certain it will not be our last! Novice to safari experiences – we were pleased to find it ‘ticked every box’ surpassing all our expectations. The huge skyline, the quietness, being so close to wildlife – what a huge privilege it all was. The whole holiday moved smoothly and efficiently from camp to camp. Each camp had something different to offer with the varied landscapes and a superb variety of game. The rhino rich undulating plains of Ol Pejeta to the woodland, ravines and swamps of Lewa – where we saw our first Grevy’s zebra; to the huge open plains of the Masai Mara with oceans of waving savannah grass and enormous sky levels, so rich with game – it gave us our first sighting of leopard. Clive and I would like to thank you all at Safari Consultants for organising this amazing trip of a lifetime for us and ensuring that our experiences were diverse, rich and most wonderful in every aspect.
Clive and Anne from Suffolk travelled to Kenya and Seychelles
Hi Michele, just a quick email to thank you for all the help with our trip, we had a truly amazing time and everything ran like clockwork. The Boma Hotel was perfect for us; they let us check straight into the room on arrival and we even enjoyed breakfast on the terrace before hitting the sack, then a great afternoon by the pool before a lovely evening meal and a peaceful early night to prepare us for the excitement ahead. Offbeat Meru was a perfect re-introduction to Africa, and the Offbeat camp managers Craig and Ashley were amazing. The Rhino Sanctuary gave us our first ever viewing of rhinos, the whole area was lovely and quiet and as you know the camp is a tiny corner of heaven- perfect recommendation! The Offbeat corner of Mara was teaming with every size of wildlife and very few other vehicles ever ventured down into " our" area of the conservancy. Basically the Offbeat way is exactly how we like to do Africa and I cannot think of anything negative to report. I will of course complete the questionnaire but just wanted to thank you personally for all your help. Speaking to the guides and managers they seem to agree Zimbabwe should be next on our list!
Philip and Natalie from Lancashire travelled to Kenya
Hi Michele, we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday and thought the Kicheche Camps were excellent. Your itinerary suited our requirements very well.
Christopher and Susan from Wiltshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, we had an amazing trip and a beautiful wedding day! Saruni Samburu was absolutely perfect. The views were stunning, the food was great and the staff were amazing. Everything at Mara Plains was spectacular. The only thing I wish we could have changed was the weather we had at Mara Plains (it rained all 4 days), but it only added to the adventure, floods and all. It was the trip of a lifetime and we will never forget it. Thanks again for everything!
Rachel and Peter from California got married in Kenya
Dear Michele, I think this last holiday was probably our best ever so despite being boring, we will most likely do the same itinerary next year!
Bob and Joan from Nottingham travelled to Kenya
Frances was AMAZING and so incredibly helpful for this whole process. We had never been to Africa and had nowhere to start and she really took the time to understand what we were after and was so kind handholding us through the process. We loved Sosian so much that we are seriously considering getting married there. From arrival, to the guides, to absolutely everyone - everything was taken care of and everyone was so nice and friendly. We honestly couldn't fault Sosian in any place. Thank you Frances for recommending this place - we truly loved it. Kicheche: we saw loads of game and we really liked our guide - his name was Francis and he was lovely and managed to find all the animals when no one else did. We also thought the food was good. We did absolutely love Africa and think we will make this an annual trip.
Jackie and Chris from London travelled to Kenya
Just settling back after an excellent trip, all locations, food, game viewing and the holiday resort were of the highest standard.
Terry and Alison from Surrey travelled to Kenya and Seychelles
Hi Michele, a long, long overdue note of thanks (my apologies). What an amazing trip. What a wonderful country. What gracious and accommodating hosts. But most importantly, because of you, what a spectacular travel itinerary. You can't imagine how many people we met who were both envious and amazed by the opportunities and activities afforded to us. The destinations, the lodgings, the animals, the people...I really can't say enough. Perfect in so many, many ways. Michele, my entire family and I want to thank you for all you did to make our adventure more than we ever imagined. Truly. We appreciate your attention to detail, your energy and enthusiasm, and your patience with us before, during and (now) after the trip. You and your team were superb. Again, my apologies for my tardy reply. And thank you, thank you, thank you!
Carol, John, Samuel & Zachary from Arlington, USA travelled to Kenya
The trip surpassed all my expectations and has provided me with some magical memories. The camps were exceptional and I can honestly say I have never been so well cared for. Special recommendations must go to Sonia and her team at Laikipia. Both guides: Onesmus and Mika, both of whom were extraordinary and without exception, all the staff at Siankaba. A huge thank you to all of them. This was a truly wonderful, one might almost say life changing trip and one that I shall never forget. Overall, I must send a personal note of thanks to Michele who orchestrated the whole affair with care and efficiency. I shall rave about Safari Consultants to my friends until I am in danger of boring them silly! With grateful thanks.
Mary from Hampshire travelled with friends to Kenya and Zambia
We had a fantastic trip, thank you! All down to your expertise and efforts. I had high expectations going in after previous experiences many years ago, but both portions of the trip - especially the Mara - more than lived up to these. Offbeat was exactly what I was after when speaking to Michele, so thanks for choosing so well for us. We just wanted to say that, at the outset of this trip, we contacted numerous travel agents and safari specialists, but none really came close to the insight and service we got from your guys. We got a lot of commoditised, pre-built itineraries, honeymoon plans we didn't ask for, and, in some cases, refusal to work with the budget we had (!). So just wanted to let you know this, and will be recommending you in future.
Paul and Laura from London travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, your itinerary and all arrangements worked superbly. Everything went according to plan. Selous Impala camp was a great finale as the rivers made such a change to the bush game drives. All of the camps were excellent in their different ways. Meals were imaginative, varied and tasty. All of the staff we met were very keen on what they were doing and wanted to ensure that we enjoyed our stay with them. All of our guides seemed to have real passion for the bush. All in all, another excellent trip organised by you and your team, Rob. You have done us proud and clearly have chosen good operators on the ground. Please pass on our thanks to all your team.
Roger and Judith from Essex travelled to Kenya and Tanzania
Good Evening Michele, we would like to thank you for organising such a superb holiday which we are still in complete awe of. So many lasting memories have been created and we have never felt so at peace & relaxed on a holiday before. The whole itinerary ran faultlessly for which we thank you! The camps were superb with excellent guiding, fantastic food & a very high level of service & accommodation. For us you certainly achieved the 'holiday away from humans' and we can't really believe we were there now that we are back to our pressured lives. Our sincerest thanks go out to you Michele along with all of the camp staff who made every moment spectacular. We are of course thinking of what comes next year.....Thank you once again Michele for your hard work & making this a holiday of a lifetime for us!
John and Sharon from Hampshire travelled to Kenya and Zambia
Hello Rob, thanks for everything - we really enjoyed the trip. Guides were terrific, camps top class, personnel delightful, wonderful wildlife
Michael and Ann from Ireland travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, I want to give you my overview of the experience we had as a first-timer to Africa over the last couple of days. We were met by Peter, our guide at Laikipia, and had a really nice introduction to game-driving in Africa just arriving in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. It was just nice seeing elephants, zebra's, rhino's...already arriving at the site. Of course, Sonja is a very warm person and made us feel 'at home' throughout the 3 night stay. She, Juma and the whole staff actually gave a very warm feeling at the camp. All too soon, we were expected back at the airstrip for our SafariLink connection to the Mara. James, our guide at Kicheche Bush, did what he had to do! Find game, be funny, show us around, nothing was too much. We have been so lucky with all the game we have seen! If somehow I can list up or show you what we saw...it is massive! But arriving at Mara House, even our guide James dropped his mouth seeing the new environment where we were going to stay for the remaining three nights. Mara house was wonderful! The water pool added to the house gives you the max. We saw elephants, baboons, gazelles, impalas, wildebeests, different birds, warthogs....it was fabulous. To make a perfect combination: put Mara House at the Bush site with the Laikipia staff and you have THE safari combination everyone will be looking for! (except for the guides where each one had his own expertise)
Stefaan and Greta from Belgium travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, we arrived home safely from yet another great safari experience. You will be pleased to know that the game viewing was exceptional and the best we have ever seen in all of our trips. We saw what was the best migration for three years and watched ten thousand Wildebeest crossing the Mara river at a spectacular crossing point. We also saw our first ever successful Cheetah hunt along with wonderful sightings of Leopard, Lion and Rhino. Another good combination of areas, properties and fantastic guiding throughout. Mara House exceeded all expectations and we thought it was a perfect property to relax in at the end of our trip. Linda and I were so pleased that 16 years after our visit to the original Rekero cottages we were lucky to be re-united and guided by Fred, who was our guide then. We were also pleased to see Sonja again, who looked after us brilliantly. Thanks again for putting together another superb trip.
Michael and Linda from Cambridgeshire travelled to Kenya
Hi Rob, we had the most fantastic holiday and saw far more than we ever imagined, including a large river crossing of wildebeest, so a very big thank you not only for your help in pointing us towards Kenya, but also the Kicheche camps. We couldn’t have been looked after better, everyone was so welcoming and their enthusiasm for the wildlife was clear to see. I am missing my early morning greeting with coffee and cookies! At the Valley Camp there was much excitement as our guide Mika – with us and another couple in the Landover! - located the female leopard and cubs which had been evading detection for a while. She has been visible (with binoculars) from our tent sitting on a large rock across the other side of the valley, what a treat.
Andrew and Gail from Wiltshire travelled to Kenya
Hello Rob, we able to get within 25 yards of four of the big 5 (Leopard the exception none seen), and numerous other close encounters with antelope, hippo, hyena, warthog, the classics with Kitonga on Lewa Walking Wild being 1) tracking two male lion for best part two hours and then after it was clear to Kitonga they had split, he only peeked round a thicket to find one of them sunbathing his undercarriage about 15/20 yards away and it did not know we were there until his brother roared from 40/50 yards away and they both ran off, and 2) getting into a downwind position from a mother white rhino and her sub adult kids (3 years and 6 years per Kitonga) and they finally realised something was there when we were 15 yards apart. The mother for a minute or two continuously put one step forward and then back again as if she was indecisive whether to charge but clearly could not see what we were. Kitonga finally clicked his fingers and the rhino retreated 30 yards or so and then stared at us as if to think "what the hell was that". Basically what I am saying is that I absolutely loved it and when mates who asked how much it cost I said it was well worth it. So many thanks Rob your message got through to Kenya loud and clear as to what I wanted and I got it!
Graham from Essex spent two weeks on three different walking safaris in Kenya
Hi Michele, thank you for your letter. We did indeed have a wonderful holiday which more than lived up to our expectations, thank you. We saw everything we could have wished to, several times over. On our transfer drive into Amboseli we saw lions manoeuvring and feeding on a zebra; also there we saw a cheetah and her cubs eating a freshly killed gazelle. On a night drive in Laikipia we sat whilst 14 lions squabbled over a warthog carcass in the light of our headlights. In the Mara we saw a leopard holding fast to a young wildebeest's throat as it died, and then watched her drag it into the undergrowth. As far as individual animal sightings go, we saw an aardwolf (Mara), a zorilla (Laikipia), a wild dog (Amboseli - our guide said it had been a year since he'd seen one); a bush baby (by the light of the camp fire in the Mara). Many thanks again from all of us for organising such an amazing holiday.
The Fawcett family from Solihull travelled to Kenya & Victoria Falls
Dear Mary, we want to thank you so very much for an outstanding experience!!!!! You were so lovely to work with during all of the planning and some of our last minute church changes! What an incredible experience we had!!!!! All of our transports were right on time, clean, and courteous. We learned so much local flavor in talking with our drivers. Virunga Lodge was spectacular. Every detail was seen to. They provided us with spats for the gorilla hike and even cleaned our boots upon return. We sat with groups of other travelers so that was fun to get to know people from all over. FYI: They now have power strips in the rooms and loan out battery operated hair blowers, Both the golden monkey safari and the gorilla safari were fabulous. Very well coordinated and we felt totally safe. We really over-thought the experience before we went…it was a breeze. Ngare Serian was our absolute favorite among favorites. Adrian runs a great lodge. The aaccommodations were so spectacular right on the Mara River. The guide and driver were so well prepared and courteous. Being guided and at night being protected by the Masai warriors was a fun treat. We felt the experience was very authentic. We were totally blessed by a great migration of zebras. We watched 4000-5000 zebras cross over a 2 hour period at the main crossing. I know timing is everything…and we had the timing. We skipped the tree house. It is pretty rough and we so loved our room we did not want to miss a day staying there. Emakoka was a perfect end to the trip. Nairobi is such a busy city we were glad to be able to spend our last night in their peaceful surroundings. We took a late afternoon game drive. The food looked great and the service was so classy. I was a little under the weather that day and did not get a chance to enjoy all of the great food. But Marv said it was great. I recovered the following morning and breakfast was terrific! I would be happy to post any high recommendations I can on whatever sites would be helpful to you and your company. You are the finest! Thank you so much.
Marvin and Karen from California travelled to Rwanda & Kenya
Hi Mary, I have been meaning to email you sooner and thank you for booking us on such a special holiday, but life has been very busy since our return. The trip was perfect. Every detail worked out just right which made the holiday virtually stress free. Laikipia Wilderness was our favourite. Annabelle and Steve run such a wonderful camp. Really makes you feel like you are friends visiting their home rather than a paying guest. Kicheche Mara Camp was also very good, but didn't have the personalised touch that Laikipia offered. We did however see some amazing wildlife in the Mara. It was a great suggestion that we pair up the two locations. My husband got the most beautiful shot of a leopard and her cubs. They didn't come out much so we were very lucky. I have had several people ask me about how they go about booking a trip like this for themselves and when they are ready to move forward, I will be sure to send them your way. Definitely a trip of a lifetime for us. Thanks so much.
Darren, Coreen, Owen & Allyson from British Colombia travelled to Kenya
Hi Frances, I had a truly fantastic trip and have been very impressed with everything from first contact with you right through to the courtesy of asking for feedback now. Both camps were excellent as were all of the staff. A special mention to the guides William and Gladys who were superb, knowledgeable and tireless in their efforts to show me everything they could. Camps were clean, professionally ran and managed with excellent service and good company. I was very lucky with the river crossings, seeing several on the Sand river and the Mara. I managed to see all of the big five. Overall the trip more than lived up to my expectations. Kenya is clearly a very special place and I will no doubt be back there again. Thank you Frances for your recommendations and professional service.
Barry from Spain travelled to the Masai Mara, Kenya
Hi Mary, we had a spectacular time. Thanks so much for helping us work out what we wanted and making all the arrangements. Both camps (Lewa Wilderness and Kicheche Bush) were superb. The food and comfort levels were excellent and the animal spotting fantastic. Many Thanks
Steve, Liz & Hannah from British Columbia travelled to Kenya
Hello Mary, the trip was just utterly incredible. The combination of Sosian, Serengeti and Zanzibar was perfect and the order just right. Really we couldn’t have wished for more. The Serengeti time was so special - lack of WIFI with teenage kids is such a bonus. We managed to keep it from them in Sosian too until they overheard someone mention you could get it at the entrance! All your organisation and flights etc. worked a treat and having been worried about the flying element, it became a highlight. When I think of the millions people spend going to spas and retreats etc. - all you need is a weekend of safari to feel like a completely renewed human being! Thank you so much and we will be planning our next one now!
Delia, Anthony, Fionn, Felim & Flora from London travelled to Kenya & Tanzania
Hi Michele, thanks for your email and sorry it's taken so long to respond. We had an absolute fantastic trip yet again with brilliant experiences including the rescue of a baby elephant in Olare Orok conservancy! I had a great birthday celebration and thank you so much for the champagne which went down well - we toasted you! Fred and the team at Kicheche pulled out all the stops again to give us a truly memorable stay! I will send you some photos later - again we had excellent game viewing. We saw all the big cats at Bush Camp and even had a cheetah climbing on top of our car! As you see, we had so many exciting adventures, we can't wait to go back! We just want to say a big thank you again for organising a memorable trip - everything went according to plan plus all these extras thrown in!
KP and Jac from Berkshire returned to Kenya
Hi Michele, we both wanted to thank you for all the hard work you put into making our honeymoon so special with the itinerary that you put together. We had an amazing experience in Kenya. Ol Seki had an amazing setting on the side of the hill and it was unbelievable and very strange sitting there with all the wildlife around. We also had champagne in the tent for the honeymoon which was nice. Onto Mauritius and The Maritim was a lovely hotel overlooking the beach and a small bay. Again honeymoon specials were in the room which was nice. The food on the whole was pretty good and staff helpful. We did two trips - one visiting a tea plantation, grand bassin and the waterfalls in the national park. The second was in a catamaran in the lagoon on the east of the island, seeing waterfalls, snorkelling in the beautiful clear water with plenty of rum punch and beer which was nice. The hotel and the island were very nice with plenty to do but having such wonderful time at Ol Seki it had a huge amount to live up to but still very enjoyable. So as you have probably guessed we had a fantastic trip that we shall remember for a very long time. We are both very grateful to you for all your advice and work and are really pleased you advised us to go to Kenya, a fascinating country and it felt like everyone we came across couldn't do enough to help you. Once again thank you for your efforts in putting this together and putting up with my silly questions.

Dear Michele, highlights of our latest Kenya trip. Two cheetah kills, both Grants gazelles, both very close. The second one all on our own, miles from her previous stomping ground. All 4 cubs helped her! One leopard kill 20 yards from us taking a young zebra at a crossing. Buffalo giving birth and rejecting the calf in favour of her previous calf, still at heel. Wildebeest giving birth. Four zebra crossings, one with crocodiles killing an adventurous adult zebra. Zebra stallions fighting for females. Three side-striped jackals. Serval being intimidated by zebras (we had well over an hour of this confrontation). Leopard out in the sun then going back to its kill in the tree and demolishing it! Ten different cheetahs, all 100% visible. Six leopards all 100% visible.
220 plus lions, the Cheli pride had at least 23 cubs under 3 months old.

Firstly a big thank you for all the hard work you did setting up our trip to Kenya. It was wonderful and very memorable. The venues were good, varied with scenery and wildlife as we had hoped, good choices - thank you. There were certainly advantages going at the end of the season. While at Sarara we had a big storm which created some lovely clouds and different lighting conditions which David thought great! The experience of going to the singing wells and going to the Samburu village are experiences that will live with us. We did a walk at each camp which were most enjoyable. We thoroughly enjoyed all the experiences and already talking of when we can go again!

Dear Mary, I just wanted to email you to say a huge thank you to you and Safari Consultants for our holiday of a lifetime at the Kicheche Bush Camp and Waterberry Lodge. It all exceeded our expectations and everything went so smoothly. All the organisation was fantastic and all the information given was spot on. We had the most incredible time at both locations and the only downer was coming home, we absolutely loved every aspect of it. Each place was a little piece of paradise and their locations were fabulous, very special. We shall never forget our first safari and trip to Africa and really hope we can go back before too long. We were made to feel very welcome at both locations and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were fantastic and the food, well, was "just out of this world". I'm astounded I didn't put weight on! At Kicheche our guide Jimmy was wonderful and great fun too, we couldn't have asked for better and he did everything he could to make our safaris as best as he could. The hosts at both places were excellent and everyone contributed to making our holiday so memorable and fabulous. I also really appreciated all your advice and help prior to us going. We spoke to many other clients of yours whilst out in Africa and everyone thoroughly recommended yourselves and many were frequent clients of yours who had nothing but praise for yourselves. Many thanks from two very appreciative clients.

Michele, we arrived home last night after an exceptional trip. Everything after arriving in Nairobi up to and including our departure from Dar went exactly to your schedule. Lewa Wilderness and Saruni Mara were great choices, each very different, but with the same very high quality and personal attention. The Palms was over the top in beach luxury and service. Thank you for everything. I will definitely recommend you to anyone.
